WE ARE NOW TAKING BOOKINGS FOR THE 2026 SEASON

Sunday Arrival
On Sunday, arrive at Craignure on the Calmac 12.15 sailing from Oban (booking your ferry crossing is your responsibility). You will be met by your guide and taken for coffee and cake to a nearby café, Blethers, to discuss your holiday itinerary on Mull. After a short drive to your hotel, The Glenforsa, and checking you in, we will assemble to head out for our first look at the beautiful Isle of Mull before returning in plenty of time for your evening meal.

Central Scenic Loop Day
We will travel around the main central part of Mull searching for its iconic species: Golden and White Tailed Sea Eagles, Otters and Hen Harriers, Dippers and Divers along with Mull’s migrant birds. The main central loop takes in Mull’s stunning scenery showcasing its mountains and moors, lochs and glens. This route takes us around the Beinn Mhòr mountain range and its ranging habitats tend to showcase a great diversity of wildlife.

Northern Circuit Day
In the morning we will visit Mull’s capital, Tobermory, for a short self-guided walk around the village before continuing our wildlife experience. In the afternoon we will visit a wildlife hide purpose-built for raptor watching. We’ll explore an estuary to look for Waders and see if we can catch a glimpse of a Malachite Kingfisher. We’ll have a stop at Calgary Bay to explore its wildflower meadow hemmed by the beach’s characteristic machair dune grass before finishing off the day along the sea loch.

Boat Day
We are heading back to Tobermory today, to board one of the Staffa Tours boats for our day exploring our surrounding waters, Staffa and the Treshnish Isles. While sailing, we will try to spot Whales, Dolphins, Basking Sharks and Seals. We hope to see White-Tailed Sea Eagles as we cruise across to the Island of Staffa to visit the world famous Fingal’s Cave. After an hour ashore on Staffa we head across to the Island of Lunga. During the seabird season, we have the opportunity to spend some magical time on the island itself visiting the Puffins and the awe-inspiring sea bird colonies on Harp Rock. We would also hope to see Skuas, Puffins, Fulmars, Petrels, Shags, Razorbills, Gannets and Guillemots before returning to the hotel for dinner. Outside of the seabird season, whilst we do not land on Lunga, we will spend more time at sea looking for cetaceans.

Iona & The Ross Day
An early breakfast sets us up for a full day out on the Ross of Mull, setting up early to catch the ferry in Fionnphort and beat the coaches that are appearing by midday, thus allowing us to enjoy magical Iona in its peacefulness. Here, a few options will be offered to you. You can follow your guide hoping to hear or even see the elusive Corncrakes, have a walk North, to bask in the beauty of the white sand beaches and turquoise waters, or you could visit the Iona Abbey (entry fee not included). Discover how central this small island was in the History of Scotland and Christianity. On returning to Mull, we take the scenic route hoping to see Otters feeding. The views here are truly magnificent.

Evening Walk
On the last day of your Break, after your dinner, you have the opportunity to join your guide on a walk from the hotel for a last look at Mull’s beautiful wildlife, with the hope to spot an owl or a dipper on the river. It is also the perfect walk for a gentle goodbye being potentially the last time as a group, as some of you might leave by car the next day.

Friday Back
After checkout, if you came to the island as a foot-passenger, we will take you on the short drive back to Craignure to catch the 10am sailing to Oban (you will need to book your own ferry crossing) to start your homeward journey. Taking with you fantastic memories and the promise to “do it all again next year!”

A note about the itinerary
Please note that the previous itinerary is given as an example and its order might vary at the time of your Break, being affected by the weather and possible road works/closures. As a rule, your guide will decide which day will be the best for the sea-safari and build the rest of the Break around the chosen day. Please note as well, that depending on wind and weather conditions, the boat excursion might be cancelled by the company providing it. In the possibility of this happening, your guide will have an alternative itinerary to take you on.

Meals
Breakfasts and dinners will be provided by the hotel, whereas your lunches will be provided by us. As we pride ourselves in delivering the best experience throughout your Break, we endeavor to provide you with a varied, balanced and tasty meal tailored to your preferences and dietary requirements. Everything we are able to source locally or make homemade, we do. For those reasons, our packed lunches may be different from one Break to another. For example, we have made smoked trout bagels, chicken wraps, soups or prawn pasta salads. For this reason we will contact you a few weeks ahead of your break requesting your dietary requirements to ensure you get something which you would like. Feel free to be detailed!
