EXCELLENT Based on 174 reviews Posted on Tripadvisor Barbara G4 July 2026Verified An amazing holiday would thoroughly recommend it This was my first wildlife holiday and it was amazing. Communication before we joined was great and there were even tips about what to pack. The log cabin hotel is set in the woods and faces the Sound where the views are beautiful. The hotel food was great and the breakfast set you up for the day. I was part of a group of 6 and Laura organised our days according to the weather and conditions. Every care was taken to make our holiday a memorable one. The lunches prepared by Stevens were amazing (taking into account preferences and allergies) and Laura guided us expertly across Mull where we learnt so much about the local wildlife and local habitats. The weather was truly changeable but that didn't dampen our spirits as we watched an otter fishing and a golden eagle soaring in the sky and of course the puffins on Lunga didn't disappoint. I would thoroughly recommend it.Posted on Tripadvisor Erica P4 July 2026Verified Mull Wildlife Breaks Laura and Stevens were the ultimate hosts for this holiday. The whole holiday was well - organised and everything ran seamlessly. They both have a very good knowledge of the geology, history and wildlife of Mull and surrounding islands which made it very interesting. Stevens provided us with a delicious, completely home - made packed lunches every day which took account of each individual’s dietary needs. On the final day we were treated to a lovely buffet of savoury and sweet treats, plus a glass of fizz whilst looking out over Calgary Bay. Accommodation in the Glen Forsa hotel was comfortable, warm, quiet and peaceful. The food was excellent and the chef was very accommodating to some guests individual dietary requirements. All staff at the hotel were friendly, approachable , and welcoming. Mull Wildlife Breaks was a unique experience which I will always remember.Posted on Tripadvisor DandG_at_OH29 June 2026Verified Wildlife breaks that don’t disappoint. From start to finish this was a great 5 day wildlife tour with wildlife being the operative word. Not just puffins and otters, we even looked for some ants. Meeting Laura and Stevens and the other 6 members of the tour over coffee and cake straight as soon as we arrived on the island was a good start; Coeliacs fear not - plenty of GF cake! The diverse group gelled from the start and shared knowledge as we went. Laura made sure we had the best chance of sighting the maximum number of wildlife species, from seabirds and mammals right down to orchids and wildflowers using her extensive knowledge of the islands and their wildlife. Stevens produced fantastic lunches tailored to individual needs, all packed up in individual picnic hampers - such style. Don’t expect a set itinerary; where you go will be based on the weather and up to date local knowledge; example - we went on the sea trip the first day as the forecast and sea state were good, Staffa & Lunga, calm seas, wall to wall sunshine and lots and lots of puffins on the best day of the week. The Glen Forsa Hotel was a good base for the tour and provided comfortable accommodation and excellent food, especially as 3 of us had dietary requirements. They had been pre-warned and came up trumps. We can certainly recommend these breaks with Mull Wildlife Breaks and hope to return for another tour.Posted on Tripadvisor David G28 June 2026Verified A Week with Mull Wildlife Breaks Just returned from a magical 5 day trip to the isle of Mull with Mull Wildlife Breaks. The Isle of Mull is a magical place in itself for both scenery and wildlife. This was taken beyond fantastic with Laura and Stevens as our guides. Laura's knowledge of the islands and the wildlife was astounding. As for the picnic lunches made by Stevens, they were beyond first rate. There was no way I would have expected such a fantastic, easy going trip. Nothing was too much trouble or a hassle. The group had 7 of us in it and both Laura and Stevens went out of their way to make sure that we all felt included and had a great time with over 70 species of wildlife seen or heard. Then Mull provided the Grand Finale, with a lightning show second to non. If you are going to Mull, turn a brilliant trip into a fantastic, magical time, with Laura, Stevens and Mull Wildlife Breaks.Posted on Tripadvisor Eric T7 June 2026Verified Lovely week with Mull Wildlife Breaks We recently returned from a Mull Wildlife Break and had a great time. We saw a good mix of wildlife ably advised by our very knowledgeable guide Laura. Whilst the weather was a bit changeable, Laura adjusted the itinerary to ensure we had enjoyable trips out to Staffa, Lunga and Iona. Laura's guiding was backed up with excellent hand-made lunches provided by Stevens (Laura's fiancé). Seeing otters, white tailed eagles, golden eagles and an elusive corncrake were just some of highlights of the trip. Thank you Laura and Stevens for a lovely week. A credit to yourselves and Mull.Posted on Tripadvisor Dean H6 June 2026Verified Book now truly amazing 👏 A truly wonderful 5 days in Mull set in a stunning location, Laura and Stevens really set out to give that personable experience, the welcome on the island with tea and cake and meeting the group was great . The hotel was superb great location, super friendly and food was brilliant This was my 1st wildlife group holiday and the other members made me feel welcome and was great to be a part of the experience on Mull. Laura's knowledge of animals, birds, plants and the islands is second to none, fantastic balance of seeing all of island of Mull and surrounding islands. Weather was hit and miss but it didn't matter we saw some lovely diverse mix of animals, birds and scenery. Can't praise enough the lengths Laura and Stevens got to to make this a truly memorable experience.Posted on Tripadvisor Andrew B5 June 2026Verified Ninety Species!!! What a great trip. Lovely, knowledgeable, friendly guide (Laura); waterside hotel with equally lovely staff and fabulous views (and whisky); amazing home-made lunches (Stevens)! Seamless experience from ferry pickup to dropoff, with a good mixture of more and less active wildlife spotting and great coverage not only of the whole of Mull but also boat trips to Staffa/Lunga and Iona. Also loads of nice touches that I'm not going to detail and spoil the surprise. Learned a lot about birds - puffins and many more - as well as seeing otters, deer and dolphins (and highland cows), in total identifying an amazing 90 animal species between our group. Can really recommend 🦦🦆🦅🦬☺️Posted on Tripadvisor Karen B29 May 2026Verified Just Perfect A fantastic holiday made exceptional by Laura and Stevens. Laura's knowledge and love of her island was 2nd to none. Stevens skills in the kitchen gave us home made food, he even made the pasta and bread wraps himself, the lunches were delicious . I would totally recommend this company. Thank you Laura and Stevens for giving that very personal touch to a very beautiful relaxing holiday.Posted on Tripadvisor Voyage2760081141926 May 2026Verified The best wildlife holiday ever! The best wildlife holiday ever! Laura and Stevens are so kind and friendly and made our week in Mull very special. Laura's knowledge of local wildlife and nature is exceptional and she is fun to be with. Her driving is considerate and we were comfortable at all times. Stevens created delicious homemade picnics every day, all made from scratch. I particularly liked his biscuits and truffles and appreciated the re-usable picnic baskets and tins. Our name tags were a lovely touch. Of course the wildlife and scenery of Mull were amazing and I would love to return at a different time of year.Posted on Tripadvisor Ann O12 May 2026Verified Memorable sunny week on Mull Laura and Stevens make a great team and between them they create a memorable five days. Comprehensive wildlife and local knowledge and wonderful lunches. There is a good balance of sharing with the group and time to do your own thing. Hotel was also excellent.
